For additional information, threshing is the process where the edible part of cereal grain is loosened from the scaly, inedible chaff around it. Threshing is done by beating the cereal grain using a thrash on a threshing floor. In other areas threshing is done by spreading the grain on the country road so the grain may be threshed by the passing vehicle’s wheels.
