The Gamby Family

Joseph and Madeleine Gamby originally emigrated from Belgium in 1913 and 1914, respectively, and were married in La Salle, Manitoba in 1921.They moved to the Rosser area in February, 1924 with their first son, Albert who was two. Their second son, Julian, was born in June of that year.

Walter Steiner

Walter Steiner’s grandparents arrived to Canada because it was not easy to make money in Europe. They purchased a homestead where Walter Steiner resides today and cleared it. Mr. Steiner’s grandpa travelled to Saskatchewan to assist with the harvest to earn some extra money.
